B R A N D I N G
It all starts here.
What’s in a brand?
If you’ve started down this road, I hope you’ve already heard “your logo is not your brand”. If not, let me repeat that. Your Logo is Not Your Brand. Logos are one piece, yes a key piece, but just like a piece of pie–it’s never enough.
As much as we all love pretty things. A logo cannot be just a decoration for your brand. It needs to have substance, to tell your story, leave an impact. Yet–a logo cannot do it all alone.
That’s where the brand comes in. We live in a world where a brand has to live and breathe on social, websites, print, storefronts, employee t-shirts, packaging on a shelf and so much more. All those things come together to make one brand impact. What is your brand going to say? What is it going to make people feel? Why does it appear that way?
Let’s answer those questions together.
What I can do for you.
Brand Development
Giving your brand a visual life. I’ll create a logo system and identify colors, fonts and styles for your brand. Final deliverables are the full logo system prepared in the necessary filetypes for digital and print uses. As well as a brand reference guide and social media profile images and a brand launch post graphic.
Rebranding
This is the same offer as above but it sometimes starts a bit different. Often with a rebrand there is a very distinct reason why it’s out with the old. So our first steps may be a bit more in depth and can often include a Brand Strategy Session with key members of your team or board. The deliverables will be the same as the Brand Development.
Brand Strategy Session
I hold a workshop with up to 15 people, usually 2-4 hours depending on the size of the group where we dive into input, strategy and research before creative begins. This can be an add-on to the begining of any project.
Brand Evaluation
This is a consulting dynamic where I do discovery calls with you and your team to evaluate how the brand is existing and where there is potential for improvment. Deliverable would be a document outlining observations and making suggestions for next steps.
Often a natural evolution after branding is your digital front door–your website. I offer The Launch Kit that includes both or if you already have a brand you love, websites only.
How do we get there?
Discovery Meeting - Let’s get down to business. This can be in person, Zoom or good ole fashioned phone call. You give me the download about your company, what you’re looking for and any details on the project.
Proposal - I will prepare a proposal for you based on the details provided. If you choose to accept, you will sign/e-sign the proposal and contract.
Strategy Brief - I will send you a Google Form to complete so everything is documented for reference. Some questions may overlap with our talk but I like to be thorough.
Research & Deep Dive - I dig deep, research and get smart. I will analyze your audience information and immerse myself in your world to know competitors, strengths and weaknesses.
Creative Chaos - Yup– it’s just like it sounds. I get pencil to paper, pen to iPad, mouse to computer and let it all flow. Just don’t ask to look at my artboards ;). Then I refine and expand the strongest concepts.
Presentation - It’s all put together to give you the pull picture. Generally, you’ll be presented with 2-3 options. This may be face to face or via Zoom.
Feedback - At this point, the majority of my clients pick one and we run. But sometimes we need just a bit more refining or adjustments. This is where we revise or edit a selection if needed. For example, we may explore additional or different colors.
Review & Select - Final selections are made and I prepare all files for your uses.
Delivery & Invoice - You’ll get a handy dandy Dropbox link to a folder that includes all the files you could ever dream of. Vector, raster, PDF in the set color options. You’ll also be provided a brand guide reference sheet. That shows color information, the logo system and any possible support graphics like patterns or suggested fonts. If a full expanded brand guide is desired, be sure to let me know and we’ll add that on to the project.
