A bit about me.

Hey there, I am LJ (I go by Lauren too) and I am a designer and creative partner. LJ Carter Creative is my dream creative adventure to work with enthusiastic humans who want to grow or transform their business or organization with creative confidence.

My goal with every project is to actively collaborate, guide and strategically design for my clients. To me, work is personal. Business is done by people for people. My approach puts people first–both you and the people you’re reaching. When people are the focus, brands thrive and build lasting connections. See what that can look like.

A brief history.

I am an Arlington, Texas native and a graduate of the University of Kansas with a degree in Visual Communication and Art History. Immediately following graduation, I worked as an Art Director at the Balcom Agency for clients ranging from local start-ups to international retailers and medical companies.

In June of 2016, I took the leap of starting my own design company and am fortunate to get to partner with amazing clients each day. I live in Arlington with my husband Cole and two crazy wonderful little ones, a highly energetic dog and scaredy-cat cat.

  • My kids. The hardest job and most fun job I have is “Mom”. I have stories galore of the things kids say.

  • Wine. I love wine (see above). Especially Italian and spent a semester course on it during study abroad in college.

  • My name. I know it can be confusing to some but really I go equally by Lauren as I do LJ. Feel free to call me either but I’ll often sign off as LJ…it’s just quicker.

  • Travel. I love to travel–roadtrip or plane ride, it’s all adventure in my book.
